Hyundai/Kia SP-IV RR

The HYUNDAI/KIA SP‑IV RR specification is an official measurement criterion developed by the automotive groups Hyundai Motor Company and Kia Motors for transmission oils intended exclusively for rear‑wheel‑drive automatic gearboxes (RR) of new generations. SP‑IV RR requirements include high thermal resistance, viscosity stability at temperatures from –40 °C to +150 °C, low oxidation level and corrosion protection, which ensure efficient cooling and minimal wear of gears, synchronizers and valve elements. The specification is targeted at gasoline and diesel engines installed in Hyundai Genesis, Kia Stinger, Kia K9 and other rear‑wheel‑drive vehicles, including hybrid variants that use conventional hydraulic automatic transmissions as well as DCT. SP‑IV RR does not require special SAPS or DPF‑compatible additives, so oils that meet this approval can be safely used in transmissions equipped with catalysts and after‑treatment systems. In the XENUM catalog you will find two products that meet SP‑IV RR – XA‑TRAN DX VI and XA‑TRAN UNI, which retain the original viscosity and comply with all OEM requirements, helping to maintain warranty conditions and extend the life of your gearbox.
