The specification provides high thermal resistance, viscosity stability over a wide temperature range, and wear protection under high loads, ensuring proper cooling and smooth gear shifting. SP‑IV M meets the requirements of ATF 040000C90SG and JWS 3314, and is also compatible with previous SP‑IV approvals, providing backward compatibility for older transmissions. Oils bearing the SP‑IV M mark are suitable for gasoline and diesel Hyundai/Kia engines, including DPF‑equipped models, without risk of catalyst damage.
