Hyundai/Kia SP-II

Specification HYUNDAI/KIA SP‑II is an OEM requirement for transmission oils, intended for automatic gearboxes, including traditional hydraulic AT and some DCT, installed on Hyundai and Kia models produced up to 2015. The specification calls for high thermal resistance, viscosity stability over a wide temperature range, and effective protection against wear of gear teeth and bearings, ensuring long‑lasting operation under high loads. Oils that meet SP‑II are compatible with gasoline and diesel engines of these brands, as the transmission works in close connection with the engine, however requirements for SAPS, DPF or catalyst are not part of this approval.
