Specification HYUNDAI/KIA ATF SP‑IV M is the official transmission oil standard developed jointly by Hyundai Motor Company and Kia Motors for automatic gearboxes, including 6‑speed automatic transmissions, CVT, DCT and hybrid transmissions of new models. The requirement calls for a high viscosity index, stability at high temperatures, optimized friction properties and wear protection, which ensure smooth shifting, minimal noise and long‑lasting operation under heavy load. The specification does not impose SAPS limits, so the fluid is compatible with catalysts and DPF systems used in gasoline and diesel engines of Hyundai and Kia.
