Honda HMMF

Honda HMMF specification is the official approval by Honda Motor Co. for transmission oils intended exclusively for Honda and Acura series automatic transmissions (ATF). HMMF requirements include a high viscosity level at low temperatures for quick start‑up, viscosity stability at 100 °C, excellent oxidation resistance, protection against foaming and gear wear, as well as compatibility with friction elements that ensure smooth gear shifting. This standard is applied in gasoline, hybrid and diesel Honda models equipped with conventional automatic transmissions, including 5‑speed, 6‑speed and CVT, as well as in some Acura models. Compliance with HMMF guarantees optimal torque transfer, reduced energy losses and extended transmission service life, which is especially important under intensive loads and rapid speed changes.
