HEVF (Honda Electronic Variable Fluid) provides stable viscosity over a wide temperature range, rapid cooling and oxidation protection, allowing precise operation of hydraulic and electronic shift control systems. Technical requirements include high thermal resistance (capability up to 150 °C), low deposit level, compatibility with friction elements and sealing gaskets, as well as the ability to withstand high torque loads without loss of effectiveness.
