Specification HONDA HCF‑2 is the official OEM approval from Honda Motor Co. for transmission fluids intended exclusively for automatic gearboxes (ATF) in Honda and Acura models. Technically it requires high viscosity ratings, stability at elevated temperatures, excellent friction properties and oxidation protection, which ensures smooth gear shifts, minimizes gear wear and prevents overheating.
