GM DEXRON TASA

GM DEXRON TASA is the official General Motors approval for automatic transmission fluids, defining a low‑viscosity, fully synthetic formula with high thermal stability, oxidation resistance and stable friction characteristics. The specification is developed for 6‑speed, 8‑speed and newer 10‑speed GM automatic transmissions (e.g., transmissions in Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra, Cadillac XT5 and others), and is also suitable for torque‑converter lock‑up and electronically controlled gearboxes. An additional advantage is providing quick and smooth gear shifts over a wide temperature range without adverse effects on seals and gaskets. Although DEXRON TASA does not require special compatibility with DPF systems or catalytic converters, it is fully compatible with gasoline and diesel engines that use the specified transmissions. When needed, newer products approved under DEXRON VI can be used, which remain backward compatible with DEXRON TASA requirements.
