GM DEXRON III H

GM DEXRON III H is a General Motors approval for automatic transmission fluids that sets requirements for viscosity, thermal stability, friction characteristics, oxidation and wear protection. It is intended for a wide range of GM automatic gearboxes, including 4L60‑E, 4L65‑E, 6L80, 6L90, 6L45, 6L50, as well as for some transmissions of other brands that specify DEXRON III H in their technical documentation. The fluid meets the requirements for stable operation in a temperature range from –40 °C to +125 °C and provides the necessary level of friction for smooth gear shifts without harming the friction discs. When needed, fluids with newer approvals DEXRON III F, DEXRON III G or DEXRON VI can be used, which remain compatible with older transmissions, but the choice should be based on the manufacturer’s recommendations. Using oil that meets DEXRON III H guarantees durability and reliable operation of automatic transmissions in GM passenger and commercial vehicles.
