GM DEXRON IID

GM DEXRON IID – is a General Motors approval for automatic transmissions that defines the requirements for viscosity, thermal stability and wear protection. It specifies a minimum viscosity of 75 cSt at 100 °C, stability over the range 0 – 100 °C and the ability to resist oxidation, corrosion and foaming under high loads. DEXRON IID is intended for a wide range of GM transmissions, including 4‑speed automatic gearboxes such as 4L60‑E, 6L80, 6L90, as well as newer models that use conventional ATF without low‑sap technology requirements. The specification does not provide compatibility with DPF or catalytic converters, as it concerns only transmission fluids.
