GM 1940713
Specification GM 1940713 is General Motors’ requirement for automatic transmission fluids, developed specifically for continuously variable (CVT) gearboxes installed in passenger vehicles of Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac and other GM brands. A fluid that meets this standard must have a defined viscosity range (approximately 7.5 cSt at 100 °C), high oxidation resistance, wear protection and special friction modifiers that ensure stable operation of the planetary belt and hydraulic valves over a wide range of temperatures and loads. Such lubricant guarantees optimal torque transfer, prevents overheating and premature aging of seals, thereby extending the life of the CVT system. The specification does not impose special requirements regarding SAPS or DPF, as it is intended exclusively for transmissions, not engine oils. When choosing an XENUM product, for example the XA‑TRAN CVT transmission oil 1 L, you obtain full compliance with GM 1940713 and, at the same time, compatibility with earlier DEXRON II/III versions, allowing safe use in older models.
