Ford WSS-M2C200-D2

The Ford specification WSS‑M2C200‑D2 defines the requirements for automatic transmission fluids that must provide a stable viscosity of 6.5 cSt at 100 °C, high oxidation resistance, wear protection, and retention of friction properties under high loads. It is designed for Ford passenger and commercial vehicles equipped with 6‑speed automatic gearboxes (6R140, 6R124, 6R80, etc.) that operate on gasoline and diesel engines, including models with electronically controlled torque converters. Fluids that meet WSS‑M2C200‑D2 do not contain high levels of SAPS and are compatible with catalysts and after‑treatment filter systems, allowing warranty conditions to be maintained. This specification is an update of the previous WSS‑M2C200‑D, so products approved under the new standard are generally also suitable for older transmissions that required the earlier version.
