FORD M2C924-A

The FORD M2C924‑A (WSS‑M2C924‑A) specification is Ford’s requirement for automatic transmission fluids, defining minimum viscosity parameters, oxidation resistance, wear protection, and control of friction properties. Oil that meets this standard provides stable operation of the hydraulic system, rapid cooling, and long‑lasting protection of gear wheels, friction discs and torque converters in transmissions of type 6R, 5R, 10R, as well as in some hybrid gearboxes installed in passenger, off‑road and commercial Ford models. Technical requirements include viscosities 5W‑30/5W‑40 or 10W‑30/10W‑40, high thermal stability, low foam and compatibility with metallic and synthetic seals. The specification does not impose special requirements for SAPS, DPF or catalysts, as it concerns only the transmission system. Using lubricant approved to FORD M2C924‑A guarantees compliance with Ford warranty conditions and minimizes the risk of premature transmission wear.
