Ford 166-H

Ford specification 166‑H (M2C166‑H) is Ford’s official requirement for transmission lubricants intended for manual gearboxes and transfer cases in medium‑ and heavy‑duty commercial vehicles. Technically it demands high oxidation resistance, good anti‑wear properties, viscosity stability over a wide temperature range, and compatibility with synchronizers, meeting API GL‑4/GL‑5 requirements. The specification is targeted at Ford F‑Series, Transit, Ranger engines and transmissions and other models that use 75W‑90 or 80W‑90 type lubricants. It does not impose special requirements for SAPS, DPF or catalysts, thus it is suitable for conventional mechanical gearboxes without after‑burn systems. When selecting an XENUM product bearing the Ford 166‑H mark, you receive a lubricant that meets these requirements and guarantees long‑lasting transmission operation in accordance with Ford warranty conditions.
