DTFR 15C110

Specification DTFR 15C110 is an approved DAF Trucks technical requirement for engine oils for medium- and heavy-duty diesel engines used in heavy commercial and construction trucks. It specifies a base viscosity of 15 cSt at 40 °C and a high viscosity of 110 cSt at 100 °C, providing a stable oil film under high loads and across a wide temperature range. Oils that meet DTFR 15C110 must have excellent oxidation resistance, controlled SAPS content, and compatibility with emission after‑treatment systems (DPF, SCR) without risk of clogging. The specification is targeted at turbocharged DAF diesel units 06‑12 l/h, including the DAF XF, CF and XG series, as well as other OEMs that use similar requirements.
