DTFR 13C180

Specification DTFR 13C180 is a DAF Trucks technical standard for engine oils, intended for heavy diesel engines of medium and high power, including the DAF CF, XF, 95‑115‑125 series, as well as similar units from other OEMs that require a viscosity of 13 cSt at 100 °C and enhanced oxidation resistance. Oil that meets DTFR 13C180 provides wear protection under high loads, reduces the risk of carbon deposit buildup, and maintains viscosity stability during prolonged operation at high temperatures. The specification provides compatibility with emission after‑treatment systems, including DPF and SCR, as well as catalysts operating with low sulfate additive content (SAPS). This standard sits between the earlier DTFR 13C170 and the newer DTFR 13C190, so lubricants approved to 13C180 can safely replace products with lower numbers while retaining the claimed performance.
