DAF HP 2

The DAF HP 2 mark is a requirement of the high‑performance DAF approval system line developed by DAF Trucks for diesel engines of heavy‑duty trucks operating under high loads and harsh climatic conditions. The specification calls for a minimum viscosity of 5W‑30 or 10W‑40, high thermal stability, oxidation stability and wear protection at temperatures up to 150 °C, as well as retention of properties under pressure up to 250 bar. Oils meeting DAF HP 2 are compatible with DAF LF, XF, CF engines and their variants equipped with after‑treatment systems (DPF) and catalysts, while providing a low SAPS level that allows the cleaning systems to remain effective.
