CATERPILLAR TO-2

CATERPILLAR TO‑2 is a specification developed by Caterpillar Corporation for engine oils used in heavy diesel engines of medium and high power, particularly in the C7, C9, C13 and C15 series, including engines with a diesel particulate filter (DPF) system. The specification requires stable viscosity over a wide temperature range, high resistance to oxidation and wear, as well as effective protection of bearings and cylinder walls under high load and high rpm. Oils that meet TO‑2 provide low fuel consumption, minimal deposit formation on valves and turbines, and maintain the cleanliness of the after‑treatment system, making them compatible with DPF and catalysts. Compared with ECF‑1, TO‑2 raises the requirements for environmental cleanliness (E4‑E6) and allows the use of synthetic base oils, such as 5W30, 10W40, 15W40. On XENUM.ua two products approved to TO‑2 are presented – transmission oil XA‑TRAN DX IIIH and XA‑TRAN DX VI, which guarantee reliable engine and transmission protection under intensive operation.
