The Aisin Warner JWS 3309 specification is a technical standard developed by Aisin Warner for automatic transmissions, which defines the requirements for transmission fluids with high oxidation resistance, viscosity retention over a wide temperature range, and optimal friction characteristics for smooth gear shifting. JWS 3309 is intended for use in gasoline and diesel engines, including turbocharged and hybrid powertrains equipped with Aisin automatic gearboxes (e.g., 4‑, 5‑ and 6‑speed transmissions, as well as CVT systems).
