ACEA E7

ACEA E7 is an ACEA specification developed for heavy-duty diesel engines that operate under high loads and temperatures, typically in trucks, buses, agricultural equipment, and some off‑road fleets. The standard requires high oxidation resistance, wear and deposit protection, as well as the ability to effectively dissolve carbon particles formed during diesel fuel combustion, across a wide viscosity range (e.g., 15W40, 20W50). ACEA E7 does not mandate low SAPS content, therefore it is not optimal for engines with modern exhaust after‑treatment systems (DPF, SCR), but it can be safely used in conventional diesel units without such devices. XENUM oils marked E7 provide long‑lasting protection against corrosion, cavitation and wear, maintaining oil stability even during extended service intervals. For newer engines that require low‑SAPS characteristics, compatibility with ACEA E9 can be considered, which retains the same protective properties while offering improved DPF compatibility.
