ACEA E4

ACEA E4 is a specification developed by the European Association of Engine Manufacturers for heavy-duty diesel engines that operate under high loads and require increased protection against wear, oxidation and soot deposits. Oils that meet E4 have a high viscosity index, low SAPS (sulfated, aromatic and phosphorus compounds) content and a controlled level of residual impurities, ensuring compatibility with exhaust after‑treatment systems, including DPF and SCR, as well as protection of catalytic converters. This code is targeted at truck, bus and other heavy commercial vehicle engines, including some passenger‑car diesel units with elevated durability requirements. XENUM products bearing the E4 mark also comply with the newer ACEA E6, E7 and E9 specifications, allowing safe use in engines approved under these updated standards.
