ACEA E11

ACEA E11 is a specification developed by the European Association of Automotive Engine Manufacturers for high‑performance diesel engines of heavy‑duty vehicles that operate under high load and high temperatures. The requirements include oxidation stability at 150 °C, high wear resistance, viscosity control in the 10W‑40/15W‑40 range and a low content of sulfated, aromatic and phosphorus compounds (SAPS), which ensures long‑lasting operation without deposit formation. The specification provides compatibility with exhaust after‑treatment systems, in particular catalysts and particulate filters (DPF), thanks to the low SAPS content, allowing cleaning efficiency to be maintained without an increased risk of fouling. ACEA E11 is suitable for modern diesel engines of trucks, buses and special equipment that require enhanced protection during long trips and high loads. XENUM products that meet this code (e.g., DIESEL POWER 10W40, DIESEL POWER 15W40, DIESEL SYNTH 10W40) deliver the claimed characteristics and can be used as a replacement for oils that comply with the previous ACEA E9, while preserving compatibility.
