ACEA A1
ACEA A1 code is the basic standard of the European Automobile Manufacturers Association for gasoline engines with low emissions, operating over a wide temperature range and equipped with a catalyst. Oils meeting A1 provide minimal viscosity on cold start, oxidation stability and wear protection, while having low SAPS (sulfated, aromatic and phosphorus compounds) content, which prevents catalyst fouling. The specification is aimed at naturally aspirated gasoline passenger engines with limited service life, including older models that require fuel economy and long service intervals. If a slightly higher level of protection is needed, compatible newer codes ACEA A5, A7, B5 or B7 can be considered, which remain backward compatible with A1 requirements. By choosing an oil marked ACEA A1 on xenum.ua, you receive a product that has been tested to this standard and works safely with your engine’s catalyst.
