Sealant

Sealant is a type of product designed to create a hermetic joint between parts, preventing leakage of liquids, gases or dust. It is used in automotive service, during installation of engines, transmissions, cooling systems and suspensions, where long‑term resistance to temperature fluctuations, vibration and chemical exposure is required. When selecting a sealant, you should consider the material (silicone, polyurethane, polymer resin), the operating temperature range and compatibility with the environment, such as oil or coolant.
