Synthetic is a type of technology where motor oil is made from fully synthetic base oils, rather than mineral or semi‑synthetic components. Such oil provides stable viscosity over a wide temperature range, better wear and oxidation protection, which is especially important for turbocharged engines, high loads and long service‑interval requirements. When choosing synthetic oil, follow the manufacturer’s recommendations (e.g., API SN, ACEA C3) and the required viscosity grade (0W‑20, 5W‑30, etc.).
