Improved combustion of fuel

Diesel engines are more efficient than gasoline ones, as experience shows. However, older diesel engines emit more harmful solid particles and nitrogen oxides. Various measures have been taken to limit these emissions, for example, the requirement for diesel vehicles to be equipped with a particulate filter. This filter works by trapping fine particles. Afterwards it automatically regenerates, burning the captured particles. The problem is that exhaust gases must reach a temperature of at least 600 °C to initiate this combustion. This can be especially problematic during city driving, as exhaust gas temperatures usually do not exceed 400 °C. When the particulate filter becomes clogged and the combustion process cannot be started, it ceases to function effectively, potentially causing engine damage. This issue can be solved by achieving better combustion, and that is where NEXGEN™ technology comes to the rescue.

How does NEXGEN™ technology work?

NEXGEN™ forms the basis of diesel fuel additives that harness the power of cerium oxide nanoparticles. Cerium oxide is a substance widely used for cleaning vehicle exhaust gases. This compound in NEXGEN™ is incredibly tiny, only 10 nanometers in size, allowing it to cover a huge surface area and making it a very effective catalyst. Even at very low concentrations NEXGEN™ demonstrates excellent oxidizing capability and efficiency.
